Bicycle Street Fashion
Within the framework of the Dutch cultural festival – Nincs Lehetetlen – in April 2009, the designer group BAD announces a photo contest that is aimed at introducing and promoting the idea how to dress with chic and style while travelling by bike.

TOPIC: BICYCLE FASHION IN EVERYDAY LIFE

Prizes

I: HUF 50. 000 gift voucher
II: HUF 30.000 gift voucher
III: HUF 20.000 gift voucher
IV. (special prize): bicycle backpack with a molino, worth HUF 30.000*

The announcer shall award the winners with three main prizes and a special prize, in the form of gift vouchers.
The vouchers stand for packs compiled by products manufactured by the BAD group (bicycle backpack, clothes, cap, badges, bracelets, accessories), upon the choices of the winners. The bags and clothes are tailor-made.
*The photo that wins the special prize shall be printed on a molino, and the bag shall be made from that.

Further prizes: The announcer of the photo contest shall enlarge the award-winning photos to exhibition size (50 x 70 cm), to be handed over to the applicants.
 - 10 theatre tickets, offered by Merlin Theatre
 - 1 P-shaped bicycle parking post (orange coloured), to be handed over to the winner selected by a draw on the spot, offered by the design studio Kolbászból kerítést!
 - 2 concert tickets for the A38 ship – offered by the Royal Netherlands Embassy

Deadline of submitting the pictures: 19 April 2009
The jury shall decide between 10 and 18 April 2009

Submission:
Submitting the pictures takes place via the Internet, in digital format, to the e-mail address bicycleartanddesign@gmail.com

The jury shall not specify what technique is to be used, but expects to receive quality, aesthetically and artistically demanding, bicycle-related fashion photographs.
The contest is open for everyone, regardless of sex or age, amateur or professional photographers alike.

Technical requirements:
Photos may be made with digital or analogue technology, and may be colour or black and white.

File types:
JPEG, maximum quality (Adobe Photoshop compressed at least to the equivalent of jpeg 8)
Minimum size: 2048x1536 pixels (3 Mpixels)
Maximum size: 3000x4500 pixels (12-13 Mpixels)
Please attach a separate text file (txt) with your name, phone number, and the title(s) of the picture(s).

Conditions:
1. We expect photos made after 2007 and not submitted to other contests
2. Each applicant may submit maximum 5 pictures or 1 series of photos (with 5 pieces maximum).
3. The jury shall disregard any pieces submitted after the deadline.
4. The jury shall automatically exclude any picture of pornographic content, and the ones that may incite hatred, or offend religious belief of individuals!
5. The applicant must note that he shall bear responsibility for any violation of copyrights related to making (and displaying) the submitted images.
6. The applicaant, by submitting the images, shall automatically accept the conditions of the contest, and at the same time allows the organisers to use the pictures in publications related to the event free of charge.

The pictures shall be exhibited in a form that is different from the traditional passepartout and frame, but, to meet the challenges of our modern age and the profile of the BAD group, shall be projected on the walls at Merlin during the course of the event.

The exhibition opens on 22 April 2009, at 9 p.m.
Venue: MERLiN Theatre, 1052 Budapest, Gerlóczy utca 4.
