Mission of Dutch architects and heritage professionals to Pécs and Baranya County
Dutch professionals (Rijksdienst voor Archeologie, Cultuurlandschap en Monumenten – RACM, ICOMOS) and their Hungarian counterparts (National Office of Cultural Heritage – KÖH, Pécs University) are to visit the city of Pécs to discuss further opportunities related to Dutch-Hungarian cooperation over built heritage, and different villages in Baranya County, where Dutch property owners need advice on repair, alterations and development of (mostly) vernacular houses that belong to the Hungarian Svabish heritage. The programme is to focus on the village of Kisújbánya as well, where the local community has relatively untouched built heritage and natural surroundings at their disposal.
