Roots and Routes at Gödör Club
Urban art applies to young artists as well who usually remain invisible to the established creative industries, due to the fact that they belong to migrating workers or asylum seekers’ family backgrounds. An increasing number of initiatives help these urban youths by helping and coaching them to use their artistic skills as an economic weapon and a tool for social integration. At European level, a number of these initiatives are united in the Roots and Routes international network (a partnership among cultural, welfare and youth organizations), with members already in ten EU member countries. Roots and Routes provides experienced artists and media professionals for the young talents, and also follow-up activities and promotion.
On 20th December, top talents from previous R&R projects in the Netherlands will be hosted in Budapest, who were selected to perform a dynamic 30-minute showcase with music, dance, and more. Hungarian talents of R&R will participate, too.
